  • Nikki’s early career started in the commercial production industry, first in post-production and later producing commercials. She eventually shifted her professional life away from the film industry – but not her personal life as her husband is a television director – and has spent close to 20 years working with a range of social and environmental organizations. As a lover of documentary filmmaking, Nikki was grateful to be involved in the production of a documentary about 5 young women facing life in the wake of their HER2+ breast cancer diagnosis, and also launched the world’s first breast cancer film festival.

    Today, Nikki works for Fashion Takes Action, a non-profit organization focused on removing barriers to sustainability, ethics and circularity in fashion. Nikki is thrilled to be able to marry the worlds of film and fashion through her role on the selection committee for CANIFFF, recognizing the incredible impact that can be made through the medium of film.

  • Caprice Conners is a Toronto-based creative director and fashion stylist. In addition to working as an editorial stylist in traditional media and advertising campaigns, she has worked in different capacities styling for Rogers’ Sportsnet, Citytv’s Breakfast Television and The Shopping Channel.

    Her work as a costume designer has appeared in numerous television and independent film projects. After completing an education in fashion design, she began her career as a junior womenswear buyer for a corporate fashion retailer. Conners is a member of CAFTCAD.

  • Born in England of Royal Stewart blood and the son of a successful lawyer, Robin started his hairdressing career in the sixties and was managing a salon within two years. He emigrated to Canada, eventually becoming head stylist of Gus Caruso’s, Toronto’s number one salon.

    In 1971 Robin Barker opened his own business, which became the first salon where makeovers became an integral part of the service. At this time, Robin gave Moses Znaimer, the co-founder of CityTV, an idea for a TV show, which became City Line. Robin was a regular on the show for over 30 years.

    Robin was also a long time member of Intercoiffure and the official hairdresser for the Miss Universe Canada Pageant for many years. Robin has received many accolades and awards including Imagine Mirror Awards, the Contessa, plus the coveted Gus Caruso. Much of Robin’s time has been charity driven.

  • Eva Fydrych is setting a new standard for delivering stories and creating a lasting impact. Founder & Art Director of Fashion Studio Magazine and Travelling In Style, Eva is widely known for her innovative approach to the way we live, work, shop, and play. Her unbounded curiosity about what our future may hold challenges people to question the status quo, use the power of their imagination, and ignite new thinking without restrictions that we find ourselves ensnared by.

    As a passionate traveler, Eva has visited over 40 countries and collaborated with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. She regularly attends international fashion weeks and film festivals to stay up-to-date with the latest happenings, discover new trends, and bring her readers exclusive coverage of high-profile events.

    Eva holds a Master’s Degree in Philosophy. She studied acting at New York Film Academy and The International Academy of Film and Television (IAFT). Working on several film and television productions for BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky TV, CCTV-9, Bigfoot Entertainment, and Fashion TV as well as student films, TV commercials and music videos gave her an excellent insight and deep understanding of the entertainment industry.

  • As Director of Photography for CANIFFF, Jenn is a creative based west of Toronto. After earning a Degree in Philosophy and Political Science Jenn moved to Yucatan, Mexico. She learned the language and developed a deep appreciation of the Mexican and Mayan cultures and an affinity for its people.

    Upon returning to Canada she studied Photography at Sheridan College and has been working as a Photographer since. Jenn’s work has been seen in National and International publications and featured in exhibits including Make it Fashion for TIFF x FAT at the Bell Lightbox.

  • Jorge Joao is an acclaimed Celebrity Hair Stylist who spends his time with his award-winning salon KOI Hair Studio. He’s also involved in different fashion weeks, editorial work, educational programs and touring as an International Redken Artist. For 18 seasons he has led an elite team at Toronto Fashion Week. He is also part of Fashion Weeks in New York, Milan, Paris, and many more.

    You can catch him on Cityline morning show as one of their celebrity/hair experts. He is published in major industry publications such as Fashion Magazine, Elle Canada, Vogue and many more.

    He is the in-house educator at the Redken Exchange in Toronto and New York as well as the winner of both a Contessa and a Mirror Award – two of the highest honours paid to hair stylists in Canada.

    Jorge regularly appears on stages throughout the world where he loves to share his knowledge, experience and passion for hairstyling with other industry professionals.

  • Born in the Czech Republic, Copps always had a flair for the creative. She studied fashion and artistic programs at George Brown College and photography at New York Institute of Photography. In 2019, the culmination of her passion for fashion design, bringing people together, and entertainment was brought to life in Fashion Shoot Extravaganza™.

    Marie Copps resides in Toronto, Canada and is known for her elaborate couture neckpieces and dazzling millinery and jewellery creations.

    Her exquisite work has not only been seen on Toronto stages but also at the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas and Dallas, as well as the L’Oréal Professionnel, shows in Bogota, Singapore, Melbourne, Prague, Madrid and Rome. Her dignified gowns have been a part of the Beauty Pageant Česká Miss in the Czech Republic, and her statement jewellery pieces were featured in the short film “Mirror”, which was selected for the Canadian International Fashion Film Festival 2018.

  • Lisa Moore is a Kingston/Toronto-based fashion writer, having worked in the fashion industry for 12 years. She got her start as a set makeup artist and contributor for Fashion Studio Magazine.

    In addition to working as a writer in digital media, she is also a young adult fiction author and currently working on her second novel. Lisa has a deep passion for elevating the Canadian fashion industry and hopes to help build a platform for industry professionals domestically and abroad. She has covered several fashion and entertainment events throughout her professional career including Toronto Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, TIFF, CANIFFF, FGI Toronto, TW, TOM and Fashion Art Toronto.

  • Elyse has been in the fashion industry for close to 20 years working as a model, artist and overall creative.

    Living abroad has encouraged her creative passion, gaining inspiration in the ups and downs of a nomadic lifestyle. Finding safety in creativity, she embraced new ways of creating as often as she changed cities. Elyse has also collaborated on projects as an artistic director, where she has been gaining traction behind the lens, as well as in front. With a keen three-dimensional eye, and empathic nature, Elyse embraces whimsical yet complicated narratives. This can be seen throughout her personal work. A lover of all versions of story telling her appreciative and thoughtful eye looks for moments of connection.

    Her message is clear: “Don’t build walls, understand boundaries, and then explore them.”

  • Jennifer Cortez proudly represents her Hispanic culture with her Ecuadorian background while born and raised in Toronto, Canada. Jennifer is a creative and business professional, working in art direction and graphic design for over 19 years and has had her creative work published in popular print fashion and fitness magazines, on product packaging and signage for retail stores. Jennifer has a love for the arts in general which include – music, fashion and visual arts and is formally educated in Fashion Business with a Master of Arts Degree in Higher Education, Administration and Leadership from Royal Roads University.

    Moreover, Jennifer is a Professor at Humber College for the Faculty of Business, teaching for the Fashion Business and Cosmetic programs, in addition to the Faculty of Media and Creative Arts, teaching Adobe tools for design and design theory.

  • Tulin Sallabank is a multi-disciplinary creative and entrepreneur. Tulin is the founder and designer of Canadian slow fashion label "ooobaby luxe handbags". Her brand has been seen in multi media and top Canadian Series & films such as the Handmaid’s Tale, Workin Moms and Through Black Spruce.

    Tulin is a member of the Fashion Group International, Toronto Fashion Incubator, collaborating, supporting, and working with all aspects of the fashion industry.

    She is extremely passionate about the role fashion has in the film industry today!
